Although it feels like summer just started, rodeo season is now in the downward stretch, unfortunately.  In the Canadian Pro Rodeo Association there are three rodeos taking place this weekend.  Contestants will be traveling to Jasper, AB (August 17-20th), Cranbrook, BC (August 19-21st) and Pincher Creek, AB (August 19-21st).  The CPRA standings are now unofficially updated up to and including Dawson Creek, take a look here.

CCA (Canadian Cowboys Association) cardholders will see themselves traveling to Manitoba for two rodeos this weekend.  Both of these rodeos are also dual approved with the MRCA (Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association).  Rodeos are in Virden (August 19-21st) and Grunthal (August 19-20th) this weekend.  There is also a CCA rodeo in White Cap, SK this weekend (August 19-21st).  To check out the CCA standings you can go here and to take a look at the MRCA standings you can go here.

In the Wildrose Rodeo Association (WRA) contestants will head to Ft. Assiniboine, Westlock and Two Hills, AB.  Two Hills is also dual approved with the Lakeland Rodeo Association (LRA).

The Chinook Rodeo Association (CRA) also has a couple rodeos taking place this weekend.  Contestants will travel to Gleichen and Vulcan, AB.  You can view the CRA Standings by clicking here.

Also happening this weekend are the BC Barrel Racing Association Finals.  The finals will start today, August 19th and go until Sunday, August 21st.  Check back on Monday for a recap and results from these finals!

Good luck to all of the contestants this weekend and safe travels!
