ATTENTION SINCE LAST POSTING RIMBY HIGH SCHOOL RODEO IS BACK ON! PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR RESPECTIVE ASSOCIATIONS FOR OFFICIAL NOTIFICATIONS.

Finally spring has arrived and everyone is getting into the full swing of barrel racing, rodeo and roping action. This May long weekend marks some big jackpots and rodeos to start the season off.   The Sam’s Barrel Extravaganza is taking place in Bienfait, SK.  I’ll be heading there with Michelle, to run Barney and I’m looking forward to watching the Men’s and Bareback Barrel Races.  Stay tuned for results and pictures on Monday for this jackpot.

Cloverdale Rodeo is also taking place this weekend.  We will have the results posted as soon as they are available as well.  They do have their own website where you can keep track of the round results click here

Other major events taking place this weekend are the Rope for the Cure jackpot in Olds, AB; Thorsby Haymaker Rodeo; Luxton and Falkland BC CPRA rodeos.

Manitoba, and Saskatchewan all have high school rodeos taking place this weekend as well.

Note that the Caroline FCA rodeo has been cancelled, all Alberta High School Rodeos (decided at the National level) and the High River Little Britches rodeo have been cancelled as a precaution due to the Equine Herpes outbreak.  The Quesnel, BC High School Rodeo has been cancelled and it sounds like there are changes to their finals check out their website for more info.

There are also other smaller team roping and barrel racing jackpots taking place throughout the country.

Please feel free to email myself, Shayna, at shayna@rodeoclassifieds.com with your event results, pictures and videos.  I know some events will have been missed so please let me know if you want me to include your event to the list!

Good luck to all the competitors this weekend!
