Round 2 Bareback Results

Canadian cowboys Jake Vold and Dustin Flundra will be walking with a bit more change in their pockets after the second round of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.   Vold split second three ways for  $11,442 in his pocket riding Empty Pockets and Flundra was third for a $11,340 on Special Time.

Steer Wrestler Curtis Cassidy didn’t have the steer he needed for a fast time.   He had a 9.5 and will be making a run for the win in round 3.

In the barrel racing, Lisa Lockhart and Louie made what Lisa called a conservative run for the win.   The ground is making it difficult for the girls to post the fast times we have seen in the past few years.

“I rode very conservatively tonight,” Lockhart said. “Although I couldn’t see what was going on in the arena, I could hear that the times were not what they have been in the past, so I had it in my mind to back off just a little and let Louie pick his pace.”

Here is the footage from the barrel racing.

An article from the PRCA summarizing round featuring Team Ropers Turtle Powell and Dakota Kirchenschlager who won first for the second night in a row.  “It’s so great to be here,” Kirchenschalger said. “This is my dream. This is what I’ve always wanted to do, right here. Our game plan of going at every single steer just like we did all year long is what we’re here for. There’s no sense changing what got us to this point. – click here for complete story

I received reports and noted on Facebook that those who had purchased access to the questionable live stream of the NFR were able to access it last night.   Be prepared for many popups and extras being installed to your computer, but it looks like these folks had their ducks in a row last night.  It is not affiliated with the PRCA but it looks like someone is streaming the CBS Sportsnetwork to a website.   It needs to be run through a laptop as many are saying it doesn’t work on a smart TV.        The company hosting this feed still has bad reviews so use your best judgement when making a purchase.    I don’t think its a credit card scam they are doing as many seem to be afraid of but I think the service is questionable.
