Contestants are gearing up for yet another busy rodeo weekend. Between six rodeo associations there are a total of 12 rodeos taking place this weekend.
In the professional circuit (CRPA) there are 4 rodeos and one big bull riding event called the “Bulls for Breakfast” which will be taking place July 28th-31st in Camrose, AB. The Medicine Hat, AB pro rodeo starts this Thursday, July 28th and will go until Saturday the 30th. There are also pro rodeos taking place in Strathmore, AB (July 28th-August 1st), Abbotsford, BC (July 29th-31st), and Bruce, AB on July 30th and 31st. In the semi-professional circuit (CCA) contestants will be heading to two rodeos in Manitoba, Austin (July 28th-31st) and Swan River (July 29th-31st). These two rodeos are also dual approved with the Manitoba Rodeo Cowboys Association (MRCA). Draws can also be found for these rodeos by going here. There is also a CCA rodeo in Herbert, SK that starts Friday, July 29th and ends Sunday, July 31st. Herbert’s rodeo is dual approved with the Chinook Rodeo Association (CRA). Other rodeos taking place in the Chinook Rodeo Association are ones in Nanton, AB (July 29th-30th) and Writing on Stone, AB (July 31st-August 1st).
In the Wildrose Rodeo Association (WRA) contestants will be heading to Lac La Biche, AB for their rodeo which takes place July 31st-August 1st. Contestants will also be heading to Smoky Lake, AB July 30th-31st. Smoky Lake is dual approved with the Lakeland Rodeo Association (LRA), this rodeo is part of the LRA’s Finals Tour.
