Jake Vold earned his biggest day cheque of the 2014 NFR so far in round 9. He was 84 points aboard Delta Glamorous. The Ponoka cowboy placed second in the round for $15,000+ in his pocket. He currently sits 5th in the average. Saddle Bronc rider Dustin Flundra split 4th place in round 9 (on Angel Fire) with Chad Ferley. They both had 79.5 point rides. The third Canadian, Curtis Cassidy had some trouble with his steer and stopped the clock at 8 seconds. Thanks to Everything Cowboy for the video. Dustin’s ride should follow this one of Jake’s. The World Championship in the barrel racing has come down to the last round. Lisa Lockhart currently leads the average and Fallon Taylor leads the current world standings. Here’s how it would look if it was already over. A mere $1026.28 would put Lisa over Fallon. It’s not going to come down to just who wins the average, but who wins the round and how much money the others make and place. Leave the barrels up and go fast girls!
